I created the Ultimate Film Guides website with two main purposes: 1. As a living companion to the book. The UFG site allows me to post new resources not available at the time of the book’s most recent printing. 2. As a resource and community site for filmmakers to help each other find the best solutions for their distribution and marketing needs. There is no way that I can do this alone, nor do I feel that there is any way that one person could know all of this information. You the filmmaker know what has worked for you and what hasn’t. You know the new screening venues popping up all over the world. The only way we can learn from each other is by sharing information. The site is designed as a resource to help filmmakers, but it won’t fully function unless you contribute, comment and rate. To submit a resource (company, theater, tip, case study etc) you can sign up as a guest and type it up. It is that simple. Give us a day or two to confirm it and it will be on the site. If you wish to comment on resources and/or rate them, you will need to register which only requires you to give your name and email. Thank you in advance for you participation. As of this second printing, the site is still in beta – so be patient with us – it is a labor of love. Please don’t forget to categorize your resources so they are assigned to the right section.
